Overview
This article shares the features and other new capabilities that are designed to elevate the experience of our Visier Embedded Partners’ customers in the Visier Spring 2025 release. This release provides platform updates and enhancements that improve performance and experience. For more details around pricing and packaging, please contact your Partner Success Manager.
Platform Updates
This section outlines information on important upcoming updates to the platform with features that improve your customers’ user experience. These features are not included in Preview but will be released at GA.
Visier Reporting
Visier Reporting will support white labeling so you can customize font and color schemes within embedded reports with CSS variables.
Batch Process Webhooks
Partners with a large number of analytic tenants can receive updates about batch processes through events triggered by webhooks rather than polling. The public APIs for setting up webhook designs and framework will be ready for AWS to support the retrieval of job status results.
UI Updates
A suite of visual and usability enhancements to give authors more control over visual elements and help users interpret analyses more intuitively when highlighting key insights.
These updates include: Toggle summary/title/context, color options for movement, bigger numbers, rounder corners, grey backgrounds (analysis), traffic lighting UI update, gradients on small multiples and sparklines, dynamic spacing (card header), and table visualization UI update.
API User Security Improvements
We are implementing IP allowlisting for API use and enforcing one-time email validation for API users. This change ensures that only API users from authorized IPs with validated email addresses can access the API, providing an additional layer of security and control.
Partners can configure subnet restrictions for API users on the administrating tenant. This allows API users to make calls on behalf of analytic tenants while enforcing subnet restrictions set by the administrating tenant.
After June 30, the API allowlist and the one-time email address validation will be required for the API users to access the application.
Actions:
- Required - Configure IP allowlisting for your API users, please follow the steps outlined in our documentation: API IP Allowlisting Instructions
- Required - Make sure API users have a valid email address. To validate the email address for your API user, login to the web application with that user. You will be prompted to validate the email address.
Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) Key
We are deprecating the legacy PGP key currently used for encrypting files uploaded to Visier. This change ensures that the tenant-specific PGP key is used for encryption rather than sharing the encryption across multiple tenants.
After June 30th, files encrypted with the legacy key will no longer be accepted. Partners who currently use the legacy PGP key encryption will be required to use a tenant-specific PGP key for encryption. The ability to create tenant-specific PGP keys is currently available in Studio.
Required: If you are currently using the legacy PGP key, please follow the steps outlined in our documentation: SFTP Setup and Encryption Instructions to transition to the new tenant-based PGP key.
Vee Releases
This section outlines updates to Vee for Partners, our generative AI solution that you can embed. These features are not included in Preview but will be released at GA.
Multi-language Support
Vee can now support more languages. Users will be able to ask Vee questions in another language and get answers in that language. Languages available include German, Spanish, French, Mexican Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.
Accessibility for Reporting + Vee
Allows embedded partners who choose to embed reporting and/or Vee to meet high-priority WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
Adding User Groups to Vee Sample Questions
Administrators can now assign Vee sample questions to user groups. This ensures that users only see sample questions that are relevant to them.
Data Check For Vee Sample Questions
Previously, Vee may have displayed sample questions even if the data required to answer them was unavailable. Now, Vee will only display sample questions when the necessary data is present. This ensures users are only presented with functional examples.
Updated Data Permission Shield Icon
We’ve updated the look of the permission shield icon for improved clarity. Now, there will be a more prominent visual cue when permission restrictions have been applied.
Platform Enhancements
This section outlines enhancements that improve your customers’ experience. These features will not be included in Preview but will be released at GA - with the exception of Improved Job Validation.
Data Modeling CRUD API
Enables users to create, read, update, and delete (CRUD) various data modeling elements, including properties, dimensions, metrics, and process concepts, providing comprehensive management of data structures within Studio using public APIs.
Improved release controls for Partners
Partners can test Visier product releases in their embedded environments and with test tenants before releasing it to their customers. They are able to control when Visier releases are given to their customers outside of Visier’s release dates.
Partner source file distribution
This feature distributes a single file to respective analytic tenants based on the tenant code column, without file duplication or splitting on the partner’s end.
Multi IdP Support
This feature allows multiple identity providers (IdPs) to be specified for a partner and managed through CRUD operations, enabling users to create, update, and delete IdP configurations.
Improved Job Validation
Significantly reduces troubleshooting time and improves user experience by displaying relevant errors preventing multiple job failures and retries. This validates data mapping jobs and provides a comprehensive list of errors directly within the job details page, allowing users to efficiently identify and resolve issues.
This feature is included in Preview prior to GA.
