What’s New - 2025 Winter Preview Release for Embedded Partners

Overview

This article shares the features and other new capabilities that are designed to elevate the experience of our Visier Embedded Partners’ customers in the Visier Winter 2025 release. This release provides platform updates and enhancements that improve performance and experience. For more details around pricing and packaging, please contact your Partner Success Manager.

Preview starts Jan 24 and GA is planned for Feb 28.

Platform Updates

This section outlines information on important upcoming updates to the platform with features that improve your customers’ user experience.

UI Updates

A suite of visual and usability enhancements to give authors more control over visual elements and help users interpret analyses more intuitively when highlighting key insights.

These updates include: Toggle summary/title/context, color options for movement, bigger numbers, rounder corners, grey backgrounds (analysis), traffic lighting UI update, gradients on small multiples and sparklines, dynamic spacing (card header), and table visualization UI update.

Visier Reporting

Customers often need immediate information without building a full dashboard. This can come from the need to generate reports for business operations, compliance purposes, or to validate data in the system. With Visier Reporting, your customers can get (near) real time information right at their fingertips, giving them the confidence to take action quicker.

Reporting is table stakes to every HR application, but HR vendors are faced with tradeoffs like building with data silos in favor of launching quicker. This becomes a bigger problem as you launch new product innovations built upon the same data, delaying build timelines and creating customer frustration. Visier’s Real Time People Data Platform unifies your data and shortcuts your build so your customers see accurate and consistent data across your application.

This feature is released as limited availability. Please contact your Partner Success Manager for more details.

Platform Enhancements

This section outlines enhancements that improve your customers’ experience.

Non-Versioned Security

Partners that use an API to sync permission changes from external systems will now be able to do so without creating a new Project Version on every change. In Studio, users will be able to see both versioned and non-versioned security but non-versioned security will be read-only.

This feature is not included in Preview but will be released at GA.

Updated Job Architecture

We are adding more jobs to our taxonomy to improve the accuracy and completeness of job standardization and benchmark generation solutions, resulting in data that is more useful to users. These updates include incremental taxonomy improvements, adding more typical titles, creating more jobs and many updates to job descriptions.

Data Flow Visualization

Admins now have more visibility into the data management process which allows them to understand data flows from source to analytic object within Visier. The user interface can visualize the data process and provides insight into the status of data jobs that are in process. This includes search, filtering and data category selection.

This feature is not included in Preview but will be released at GA.

Granular Merge Improvements

Granular Merge will now have more precise updating of the model around components that have been customized and flagged to prevent overwriting. The main focus of the rollout is to ensure there are no unexpected changes to existing customers who have Granular Merge already turned on and will not run into unexpected bugs or performance challenges.

This feature is not included in Preview but will be released at GA.

Vee Releases

This section outlines updates to Vee for Partners, our generative AI solution that you can embed.

Improved Understanding Between Words, Concepts, and Ideas

This improvement results in better quality responses due to Vee being able to better understand what data needs to be returned in order to adequately answer a specific question. Vee uses a lookup service to find the most relevant objects.

This lookup service works with both a simple text search (like a library card catalog) and a semantic index (using AI and ML to understand the relationships between words, concepts, and ideas). This particular enhancement focused on improving the semantic search associated with Vee’s lookup.

Enhanced Question Understanding and Responses

Hybrid search scoring has been applied to improve dimension member search allowing Vee to effectively answer supervisory hierarchy questions without the need for synonyms.

Examples include: “What is the internal movement rate for John Doe’s organizations compared to Jane Doe’s organization?”

Vee Integrated with GPT-4o mini and GPT-4o

Visier incorporates the latest high-performing LLMs optimized for both speed and quality, ensuring customers experience the best possible responses.

Vee will leverage new large language models: GPT-4o and GPT-4o mini, running within Microsoft Azure.

  • Quality: the model is more likely to ask for additional clarification when the question is not clear, rather than present a wrong answer
  • Speed: up to 50% faster for some question types when compared to the previous models

Ability to customize Vee’s sample questions

Vee’s sample questions feature helps users quickly engage with Vee, and overcomes the “blank page problem” and get started with commonly asked questions that others use.

The list of sample questions is now configurable, giving admins more control over users’ initial Vee experience.

  • Engage, and drive adoption, of a variety of users by adding engaging sample questions
  • Visier admins have the ability to add, remove, or edit Vee’s sample questions
  • Ability to curate a library of sample questions from which Vee can pick
