Platform Enhancements
This section outlines enhancements that improve your customers’ experience.
Simplified Landing Experience
Homepages are updated with a new header and new options for images for external links with metric cards. This change improves the landing experience so that your users can quickly get a glance of what they need to know, and easily start exploring data of interest.
Homepages can be used to target a persona or industry for your users so they can get a glance of relevant metrics and insights. This experience will improve the look and usability of their landing experience.
Note: If you need to delay this release for a quarter, you can opt out of this feature release.
Table Visualization Improvements
We are improving the table visualization to make it easier to understand at-a-glance. This includes reading comprehension improvements around:
- Traffic light with multiple metrics
- Calculate comparisons/difference
- Rename metrics in columns
- Wrapping header columns
- Ability to show / hide overall row
- Format hierarchy dimensions as columns in Excel export
Email Push - Time of day setting
Allows the scheduler to define the time of day that the email schedules will start delivering to their recipients. By setting a time of day, you can ensure your users are getting insights at the right time during their day.
This feature is not included in Preview but will be released at GA.
Standard User Provisioning (SCIM)
System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) is used to automate the flow of identity information between an identity provider or IAM system and cloud-based applications or services. It provides a common schema for exchanging identifying information securely and provides a foundation for SSO.
Supporting SCIM allows for the following:
- Automatic provisioning of new accounts: New employees are efficiently given access to the right systems.
- Automatic deprovisioning: When people leave the organization, there’s a centralized way to deactivate their account and app privileges.
- Group provisioning: Whole groups of employees can be given access to the apps that they need.
- Governing access: SCIM makes it easier to monitor and audit privileges.
This feature is limited availability. Please contact your Partner Success Manager for more details.
Data Flow Visualization
Allow builders to understand how data flows from sources to our analytic objects by having a visual and interactive representation of the flow. They can access Data Flow from Studio (unversioned and versioned) and visually see how data flows with useful statistics in each phase. Data Flow visualization can also be used to examine and quick access to edit details such as mapping, business rules and properties on Analytic Objects.
Traffic Light on Movement Chart
Traffic lighting can be set based on the difference item in the movement chart. This will help easily visualize any net change difference.
Override time in a specific visual
Time cards can be fixed to a set time period (eg: one year) that persists even as time progresses.
This feature is not included in Preview but will be released at GA.
Long List Query support for API
Support querying large amounts of data from our public APIs without timing out or giving errors resolving technical issues (such as high memory usage, data transfers between VServer and aggregator nodes, caching).
This feature is limited availability. Please contact your Partner Success Manager for more details.
Studio project based semantic index in Vee
The Vee workflow currently supports rebuilding the Semantic Index only in production projects and requires a minimum age before possible reindexing can occur. This restriction delays the incorporation of design object changes into the Semantic Index within a production environment, and also limits the Studio admin's ability in draft projects to assess the impact of design object modifications within the Vee workflows.
Semantic Index is now automatically built in draft projects and updates it in production projects as required. This functionality is designed to improve the searchability and contextual relevance of draft content in draft project.
This feature will be part of a patch.
