The Summer 2024 Preview release of Visier People is now available!
This article shares the features and other new capabilities that are designed to elevate the experience of our Visier Embedded Partners’ customers in the Visier Summer 2024 release. This release provides platform updates and enhancements that improve performance and experience. For more details around pricing and packaging, please contact your Partner Success Manager.
Platform Updates
This section outlines information on important upcoming updates to the platform with features that improve your customers’ user experience.
Improved Software Development Lifecycle Practices for Embedded Partners
Test in a fully embedded environment before release to production. We are improving the way implementation changes are rolled out to partners’ customer base including:
- Preview parent tenant changes in a child tenant directly. No need to move changes across tenants manually in order to see them in that tenant.
- Access to instant feedback. You don’t need to commit and publish before seeing the results of changes
- Preview more items such as changes to the content that is included in a module.
The feature provides an API for selecting and creating a “release” changelist from versioned changes, includes a separate mechanism for handling unversioned changes like Sources, introduces APIs to import the changelist into a tenant, and supports automation of the selection, export, and import process, which can be managed by a partner.
This feature is in limited availability. Only Child Tenant Validation will be available in Preview. Please contact your partner success manager for more information.
Platform Enhancements
This section outlines enhancements that improve your customers’ experience.
Text formatting in an Analysis
Users will now be able to change text formatting in headings and text boxes in an analysis. This includes font size, style, color and justification. Users can leverage this capability to highlight categories of information, indicate level of importance or support better brand consistency.
Color consistency in an Analysis
Users will now be able to change colors of a series on a chart to maintain a consistent palette between charts with the same dimensionality on an analysis. This helps with reading comprehension and supports better brand consistency.
Unsubscribe from Analysis email schedules
Scheduled emails now support unsubscribes to allow email recipients to opt out of specific scheduled emails that they are not interested in instead of turning off all email notifications.
This feature is not included in Preview but will be released at GA.
Lookup mapping workflow enhancements
Simplifies the process of creating lookup business rules, by creating a more intuitive workflow via wizard to create both the lookup mapping and business rule in one space from the property that a user wishes to augment/replace.
Show more bars in Breakdown cards
Users can now edit Breakdown cards to show more data bars without the user clicking on the chart for more options. You can modify “Maximum number of data items” in chart settings to customize the number of bars on breakdown cards in an analysis.
Please note: The default value of Breakdown cards will continue to be 13 items, so all breakdown cards in analyses will update to show 13 unless they had previously been changed.
Show traffic light legend on metric cards
New option to show the traffic lighting legend on a metric card to help inform the user of the scales and why the number might be red, yellow or green.
Updates to Visier’s job taxonomy and benchmarks
We are expanding Visier’s job taxonomy and benchmarks to include:
- New jobs and improved job categorization in the Sales and Healthcare domains
- New jobs in the following subdomains of Professional Services: Environmental and Architectural Services, Veterinary and Animal Care Services, Advertising and Marketing Services, Legal Services, Computer Services, Accounting Services, Human Resources Services and Scientific Research and Development Services.
The job taxonomy is not accessed directly but supports other embedded product offerings such as job standardization and benchmarks. This feature is not included in Preview but will be released at GA.
API Updates
Data Version Export API
To support use cases where Visier provides data (including back-dated changes) to downstream relational database management systems. This API enables users to export their data version data in full (for a specific data version) or as a delta between two data versions.
