Welcome to our first annual community hackathon! This event is your chance to showcase your skills, creativity, and innovative ideas using Visier’s technologies. Whether you’re a seasoned developer or new to our platform, this hackathon is designed to inspire you to build something impactful and novel.
Our hackathon is live and will be accepting submissions from September 24 ~ October 11, 2024.

Objective:
- Innovate and create using Visier’s technologies with the theme Enhance & Extend in mind
- Demonstrate your ability to deliver value through creative solutions.
- Connect with other professionals in the HR tech space.
Prizes:
- 1st place: $3,000 for the team
- 2nd place: $2,000 for the team
- 3rd place: $1,000 for the team
- $100 participation prize per person for each legitimate submission*
- Blog post interview and social media recognition from Visier for winning teams
- Additional $100 prize for the team if they use our new Python SDK
Submission Bonus:
- $100 per person
- Members of the first 10 teams to submit a valid project will be eligible for the $100 participation prize.
- Submission must clearly demonstrate a value proposition utilizing Visier’s technologies.
- A submission demo video of at least one minute is required in the submission.
- The project must include demonstrable functionality (not just wireframes or mockups).
- Coding is not mandatory for submission.
How to Participate:

- Sign up for the hackathon through our Discourse community. You will be provided with all necessary resources, including a Free Trial link for access to Visier’s technologies.
- Form a Team:
- Teams can have up to 4 members. You can work individually or collaborate with others.
- Need a team? We may offer team matchmaking—stay tuned for details.
- Start Building:
- Use Visier’s technologies to create a project that delivers clear value to your audience. Your submission must include:
- A project demo video (minimum one minute).
- Demonstrable functionality (not just wireframes or mockups).
- A clear explanation of how you’ve utilized Visier’s technologies.
- Submit Your Project:
- Submit your project by creating a post in the “Visier Community Hackathon” category on Discourse. Include your team name, technologies used, a demo video, and a description of your hack.
- Submissions will be publicly viewable, allowing others to learn from your work.
- Get Support:
- Our Discourse community will be the primary hub for asking questions and getting technical support.
- Office hours will be held three times a week for live assistance.
- A resources guide will be available on Discourse, including links to documentation and developer tools.

- Use of Technology: How effectively have you utilized Visier’s technologies?
