# How to Subscribe to Categories

As we have a lot of new features available on our Discourse, here’s a quick guide on how to subscribe to categories to get notifications to updates in a specific category. It’ll send you an email when new posts are posted.

1. Going to the category you’d like to subscribe to, for example, “[Visier Community Hackathon 2024](https://visier.discourse.group/c/community/visier-community-hackathon-2024/25)” category
2. Clicking on the **alarm bell** on the top right

3. Set the alarm bell to “ **Tracking** ” and you will automatically get new notifications on when we release more information on the hackathon.

And that’s it!
